Pacific Crest Youth Arts Organization (PCYAO) is a non-profit music education organization that has provided several performance outlets for youth in the Southern California area. Pacific Crest is a World Class (formerly Division I) drum and bugle corps that competes in Drum Corps International. Pacific Crest was created in 1993 and marched only 33 members their first season. The corps continued to grow throughout the next ten years, and in 2003 the corps took their first extended tour to DCI World Championships. This tour allowed first-time viewers of the corps to witness the group’s presence in Division I Semifinals, a feat that caught many other corps by surprise. At four weeks long, the corps’ 2007 tour was the longest in corps history where they again made it to Semifinals. With the success of 2007, Pacific Crest expanded their tour to a 25 day tour in 2008.
In addition to the drum corps, PCYAO has supported a Colorguard unit that competed in Winter Guard International and the Winter Guard Association of Southern California (WGASC) circuits and a snare camp that coincided with the Corps At The Crest show in 2009. Major fundraising events include the Pacific Crest Sneak Preview show held at the beginning of Summer as well as the Pacific Crest golf tournament held in the Fall.

Corps At The Crest is the home show for Pacific Crest hosted at Mt. San Antonio College (Mt. SAC) in Walnut, CA. Usually held toward the beginning of the DCI season in late June, the show features performances from many corps from California and Arizona. In recent years, Corps At The Crest has been recognized as a series of shows hosted by Pacific Crest that are held around the Southern California area. Past sites include Vista, CA and Westlake, CA in addition to the Mt. SAC location.
The corps is known for playing Ave Maria (Franz Biebl) as its corps song. On occasion the corps has had a brief warm-up tune on the field: Prologue from Dracula (2004), and Just The Way You Look Tonight (2007).
